A couple of weeks ago I was out driving on the eastern side of Henderson County and ran across a new development I had not known about. Timberline Estate is a new community located on a mountain top, with incredible long range views. I found fourteen lots for sale and was excited about the beautiful views!
The Willow Ridge Neighborhood
This little known community is tucked into a mountain, with long range views. Located west of Downtown Hendersonville and between Hendersonville and Brevard, this is a great location. Not only is it easily accessable to Hendersonville and Brevard, but also Asheville’s west side and the local airport. It is close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and State and National Parks everywhere.
The Britton Creek Neighborhood
Britton Creek is is a small community of 66 condominiums, located on the west side of Hendersonville NC.
These are nice units, and some have had some really nice upgrades over the years. This community was built in the early 1980’s and they are solid and well thought out in their design. Most are two bedrooms two baths, and some have garages.
Ashley Place, Hendersonville NC
Ashley Place is a small and secluded neighborhood, off the beaten path, just south of Downtown Hendersonville. Located off of Erkwood Road and tucked back from the street in a wooded neighborhood, you will find only eleven homes. Each are unique, with attention to detail and upgrades.

As of fall 2010 there were three homes for sale in Somersby Park. These listings prices ranged from $369,900 to $569,900, making for a great time to buy in this beautiful community. Square footage for these three homes ran from 2500 to 3400, and the lots are atypical in their smaller sizes.

English Hills Homes For Sale in Hendersonville North Carolina
If you are looking for a quiet neighborhood with large yards and older well built homes, English Hills is for you. Located just south of Downtown Hendersonville about two miles, English Hills is off of Kanuga Road. Once in the neighborhood, you will find nice wide streets with long range views and meticulously maintained landscaping.
Built in the mid 1970’s, there are 59 homes. Lots in English Hills average around one acre, and most are fairly level, but not all. The majority of them have brick siding, so there is little exterior maintenance. In the last two years, three homes have sold at an average of $248,100. The average turn around is 9.51 years, making it a very stable neighborhood. Once people move in they tend to stay. That is always a good sign.
These homes in general are very large and roomy with plenty of storage space. They are well built, solid homes. Most are a ranch style, and some have a basement.
Currently there are four homes for sale in English Hills. Prices range from $199,000 to $259,000. Sizes range from 1400 to 2100 square feet, and all are three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Be sure and check the date and times, as not all homes are open on Sunday. Take notes on each home you see so that you will remember all of the features of each. Hunter’s Crossing in Hendersonville NC is situated on the west side of Henderson County, between Historic Downtown Hendersonville, and Etowah. on Highway 64 West. The average age of homes in Hunter’s Crossing is twenty seven years. There are 82 homes, with an average lot size of three quarters of an acre. There were three sales in the last two years, averaging $239,667.
The Home Owners Association Fees are $80.00 per year, making it very affordable.
With the age of Hunter’s Crossing comes large, mature trees and beautifully landscaped yards. Homes are well maintained and solid, holding their value well. There are large areas of woods, and some creeks running through the community. There are also areas with long range views looking toward the south and the Saluda grade area.
Currently there are two homes available in Hunter’s Crossing. Both are in excellent condition with nice, large yards, and room to move. One is priced at $230,000 with two bedrooms and two and one half baths, sitting on .63 acres. The other is priced at $262,000 and is a three bedroom, two bath home with 1.04 acres.
