The Druid Hills Neighborhood in Hendersonville NC is located just north of Downtown Hendersonville. Here you will find an older neighborhood that is registered with the Hendersonville Historic Preservation Commission.
Boundaries for this neighborhood are roughly: Meadowbrook Terrace on the north, US 25 North on the east, Ashwood Road on the south and Ridgewood Avenue on the west.
The neighborhood was platted in 1923, and was designed with open green spaces and winding streets. The neighborhood has beautiful mature landscaping and the homes, in my opinion, are classic, and some of the most elegant in the county. Common styles were Craftsman Bungalow, Tudor Revival, and Colonial Revival along with less common styles. It is a neighborhood with a wide variety of designs, styles, and sizes, and has a wide variety of values today because of this.
Homes that are registered with the Hendersonville Historic Preservation Commission must follow a set of rules and regulations, so if you are considering buying a home in one of these areas, you will want to check in with them prior to making an offer. They can be reached at 828/697-3088.
One of the best parts of living in Druid Hills is the closeness to everything. It is less than a mile from the heart of Downtown Hendersonville. A large grocery store is less than half a mile away, along with a variety of other businesses.
Patton Park is located just across the street from the Druid Hills neighborhood, and it has a seasonal pool, tennis and basketball courts, picnic areas, and a new skate park. It is prefect for families with kids, and for pets. The walking trails are pet friendly.
Currently there are eight homes available in Druid Hills. Not all of them are Historic, some were built later. As you can see, there is something for everyone.
Listing prices currently range from $177,900 to $574,900. This shows the variety of homes in this neighborhood.
