Located on the far east side of Henderson County is the little town of Bat Cave, NC. Don’t blink or you will miss this little town. With just a post office, two Country Apple Houses and gift stores, a few churches and a family practice center, this is a quiet community. Except for tourist season. Then you see the masses flocking to Chimney Rock.
Bat Cave was named for a cave filled with Bats. The Bat Cave is owned by The Nature Conservancy, which is a non profit organization that is committed to preserving land in the area and saving it from development. They give tours of the cave in the summer. You have to sign up early as they only have a few dates, and a few spots per date.
I have yet to see Batman or Robin out there, but I am keeping my eyes peeled!. Will you see them when you come to visit?
If you are interested in moving, let me know and I will send you a list of homes for sale in Bat Cave.
